Sapienza University of Rome (UNIROMA1) hosted the 4th workshop of the HARMONY project.
Sapienza University hosted in Rome the 4th international meeting of the HARMONY – Development of approaches to harmonization of a comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and Partner Countries – project, on March 28th-30th 2017.
33 Higher Education Institutions representatives, from all the nine Countries participating to the consortium, joined the meeting in order to discuss about the development of the project, arrived to its second year of implementation, and next foreseen activities.
After the multi-lateral cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place, the 4th conference concentrated on three themes:
- state of arts analysis of the Russian, Belarusian and Armenian Higher Education System, according to the information previously collected, with a focus on the situation of the consortium Universities;
- next steps to take in order to design harmonized Strategic and Action Plans for internationalization to be approved by local governments and then be implemented;
- training sessions, ran by Sapienza Officers, on several aspects of the internationalization process: management, research, didactics and students. Best practice, procedures, constraints, regulations, strategies, achievements and difficulties encountered were shown and discussed during these sessions.
Planning, development and outcomes of the meeting respected the principles of the Erasmus+ Key Action 2: cooperation for Innovation and Exchange of Good Practices focused on enabling organizations to work together on sharing, developing and transferring best practices in education between different Countries.
